Backdrop9 is a collaborative, community-driven blog that seeks to help theatre companies in Santa Clarita connect, share information, and grow together. Our goal is to give a voice to leaders in the local theater community so that they can share their knowledge and experience to benefit others. This blog will be an ongoing, ever-growing resource of information that theater companies can use to improve their own production teams.
The nine areas of a stage (UPR, UPC, UPL, R, C, L, DSR, DSC, and DSR) remind us of the many people who must work together to make a theater production come alive. We believe that theaters are better together, and want to create a collaborative learning environment that not only gives a voice to those who want to share, but a resource to those who are looking to learn, find new ideas, and discover new inspiration for their own productions.
