AUDITIONS - The Last Five Years

Show Description

The Last Five Years, words, music, and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, is an emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years, the show's unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.

About the Production

Olive Branch Theatricals is seeking performers for a live-streamed version of The Last Five Years, by Jason Robert Brown. The production will be pre recorded, and due to the small cast size, we will be able to rehearse and record in-person. Please only apply if you understand the risks associated with Covid-19. Please note the role of Cathy has already been cast. rights pending.

Audition Information

Each actor should audition virtually (using video submission) by performing:

1. Both monologues here (reading from the script okay, but please have energy and expression)

2. A portion of a song that shows off their vocal range (preferably from The Last Five Years).
